Hush, a technology company in residence at the EvoNexus incubator downtown, attained one-third of its $100,000 donation goal by the second day of its Kickstarter crowd funding campaign on Nov. 13.
The business proposes to bring noise-canceling electronic earplugs to the market. The Hush earplugs would let certain alerts from a smartphone get through.
Donors pledged $33,339 by 5 p.m. on Nov. 13. The campaign wraps up Dec. 22.
Several people pledged $115 or more, a funding level that would bring them one pair of earphones, to be delivered as early as May. As of Thursday afternoon, no one had pledged $2,500 to get a gold-plated set.

EvoNexus is a pro bono incubator run by CommNexus, a communications industry group with a presence in San Diego and Orange counties.
