No Change in April Median Housing Price in County From March

San Diego’s median price for a single family house in April stayed unchanged from March at $491,000, but was up 9 percent from April 2013, according to the Greater San Diego Association of Realtors.

The median price for condos last month increased nearly 10 percent from March and 16 percent from a year earlier to $334,500, SDAR said.

“While other parts of the nation are experiencing flat sales of resale homes, San Diego County is enjoying an excellent spring,” said Leslie Kilpatrick, SDAR’s president.

In April the areas with the most single family home sales were Spring Valley, 58; Poway, 52; Oceanside, 50; Encanto, 48; and San Marcos, 48.

The volume of sales of single family houses increased 12 percent from March, but was down 5 percent from April of 2013. Sales of condos were up 22 percent from March, and up 13 percent from April of last year.
