Derek Aberle has been named president at Qualcomm Inc., filling the job vacated by the company’s new CEO, Steve Mollenkopf.
Both executives took their new jobs on March 4, Qualcomm (Nasdaq: QCOM) said in a securities filing.
Aberle, 43, is a 13-year veteran of Qualcomm and was previously executive vice president and group president.
Aberle joined Qualcomm after representing the company as outside counsel for several years. He received his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law.
