Cubic Corp. has two new defense contracts in hand.
The Pentagon announced June 27 that Cubic (NYSE: CUB) won a $78.2 million U.S. Army contract to support the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, La. Under the deal, Cubic will offer theater specific combat training, mission-rehearsal training and foreign-security-training team training. The deal runs through June 30. The Army Contracting Command of Fort Polk awarded the deal.
Also June 27, Cubic announced that it received a $12 million contract to train the Italian army to foil improvised explosive devices. Cubic said the contract provides training resources at 16 locations across Italy. The defense contractor will also provide and maintain an instrumented collective combat training center.
