Reese Anthony Jarrett was named the head of Civic San Diego, the city’s nonprofit for public-private development projects and programs, by Mayor Kevin Faulconer.
Jarrett has extensive real estate experience and worked in community development with SEDC as its president before it was phased out.
Civic San Diego, now overseeing projects throughout the city, was formed as a successor agency after California disbanded community redevelopment agencies in 2012.
“I’m looking forward to creating economic development and capital investment opportunities in our neighborhoods that have been neglected and under-invested in,” Jarrett said.
Jarrett replaces Jeff Graham who left the post in March.
