Bradley Feldmann took over as CEO of Cubic Corp. on July 1 in a planned management transition.

Feldmann, 52, was previously president and COO of the $1.36 billion company, which offers products and services to the defense and public transit sectors.

He succeeds William Boyle, who is retiring.

Cubic (NYSE: CUB)’s founding CEO, Walter J. Zable, held the job for more than 60 years prior to his death in June 2012 at age 97. Zable’s son, Walter C. Zable, continues as executive chairman.
