Helix-Hon Joint Venture Co. Gets Defense Contract Potentially Worth $30 Million

The U.S. Navy’s construction office awarded the Helix-Hon Joint Venture Co. an indefinite quantity contract that could be worth as much as $30 million.

Under the deal announced, the joint venture will provide architect-engineering services over the next five years. Specifically, it will put together environmental reports.

The joint venture needs to wait for the Navy’s facilities office to issue task orders under the deal.

Navy planners expect that 85 percent of the work will cover Navy and U.S. Marine Corps bases in California. There will be some work in Arizona and Nevada as well.

Eight firms submitted proposals for the award. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest in San Diego, also called Navfac, made the award.
