Kratos Defense & Security Solutions Inc. said on Dec. 30 that it recently received three satellite communications contracts collectively worth $40 million. The company did not name its customers.

The contracts exclude an $18.5 million Air Force satellite command and control contract, which the Pentagon announced on Dec. 29, according to a Kratos (Nasdaq: KTOS) representative.

The three newly announced deals cover command and control systems, satellite communication earth stations and related products and services.

In other news, Kratos Defense said on Dec. 29 that its Electronic Products Division received $9 million in electronic warfare, missile and radar system program orders. The orders include specially packaged integrated microwave assemblies.

Kratos Defense is based in University City and has 3,600 employees.
