Kratos Reports Q1 Results

San Diego-based Kratos Defense & Security Solutions Inc. reported a net loss of $15 million on revenue of $200.1 million in its first quarter, which ended March 30. That compares with a net loss of $10.3 million on revenue of $252.8 million in the same quarter one year ago.

In reporting its financial results on April 30, Kratos (Nasdaq: KTOS) also reported a backlog of $1.1 billion. Kratos reported that it cut 120 jobs in the first quarter for a current head count of 3,700.

Shares of the stock closed at $7.22 April 30, and were unchanged in after-hours trading.
