Transit System Buys San Diego Industrial Building for $16.6 MillionWednesday, September 25, 2013
San Diego’s Metropolitan Transit System has purchased a 90,000-square-foot industrial building in central San Diego for approximately $16.6 million, according to CoStar Group and public data.
The seller was Helf Investments of El Cajon, represented by brokerage services company Lee & Associates.
The property at 1603 Main St. was built on approximately 3.5 acres in 1962 and was vacant at the time of sale. The transit system plans to occupy the building, which has 1,000 square feet of office space, according to CoStar Group.
