Solpac Construction Inc. of San Diego has been awarded a $11.87 million task order, for hangar renovations and additions at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego.

The fixed-price task order is being awarded under a previously announced multiple-award construction contract, according the U.S. Defense Department. Solpac Construction, doing business as Soltek Pacific Construction Co., will do design and construction work on an existing hangar, including demolition of some existing components and extension of the hangar bay, to accommodate the MV-22 aircraft.

The project is expected to be completed by September 2015. The contracting authority is Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest in San Diego.
