Deadline for Nonprofits to Seek Wells Fargo UrbanLift Grants Is Sept. 30

Wells Fargo, the nation’s largest home lender, reminds local nonprofits that the deadline for seeking grants through its UrbanLift program is Sept. 30.

For San Diego, the allocation of the $11.4 million program will be about $458,000, according to a Wells Fargo.

The program is designed to provide support to local nonprofits for large neighborhood improvement projects in 25 cities, including San Diego, with diverse populations who have been affected by foreclosures, the bank said.

“We’re committed to advance community stabilization in cities significantly impacted by the housing downturn and improving the quality of life for everyone in our communities,” said Jon Campbell, executive vice president and head of government and community relations at Wells Fargo.
