More than 100 injured military veterans from around the nation, and locally, are coming to San Diego Sept. 15-20 to participate in the sixth annual National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic.

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the clinic is a rehabilitation sports and recreation event that provides training to veterans on cycling, surfing, rowing, kayaking and track and field, organizers said.

The clinic is open to all U.S. military veterans injured within the past six years and includes those with amputations, traumatic brain injuries, psychological trauma, visual impairments, spinal cord injuries, and other injuries, organizers said.
