Two Navy Contracts Could Be Worth $94.6M for BAE SystemsTuesday, October 22, 2013
The U.S. Navy announced two contracts for BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair Inc. that could be worth a combined $94.6 million.
BAE received a $70.8 million contract modification to put the Ticonderoga-class cruiser USS Princeton in dry dock for maintenance and alterations. Work is expected to be finished by November 2014.
Separately, BAE received a $23.8 million modification for work on the USS Mobile Bay, also a Ticonderoga-class cruiser. Work is expected to be complete by May.
The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center in San Diego awarded the contracts.
