RF Industries Ltd., the San Diego maker and distributor of coaxial connectors and cable assemblies, ranked No. 46 on the Forbes 100 Best Small Companies in America list, the company said.

To qualify for the list, companies need sales of $5 million to $1 billion, a stock price no lower than $5, and be publicly traded for at least one year. Rankings are based on earnings growth, sales growth, and return on equity in the past 12 months, and over five years.

The list excludes financial institutions, REITs, utilities, and limited partnerships.

CEO Howard Hill said RFI has been included on the same list three times previously and he was grateful that Forbes again recognized the strength of the business and the hard work of all its employees.
