Senté Inc., a San Diego company that develops medical skincare products, has entered a distribution agreement with Tri-City Medical Center.
Tri-City will sell and distribute Senté’s dermal repair cream at its laser and aesthetic center in Carlsbad. This is the second area health system to begin selling the company’s products — earlier this year, Scripps Health began selling the company’s skin creams.
Senté, called a “cosmeceutical” company because it melds cosmetics with pharmaceuticals, said in a statement that it’s the only company that uses a compound called heparan sulfate in skin cream. The substance naturally helps with cell regeneration, according to the company.
