Weiland Sliding Doors and Windows Inc. of Oceanside Being Sold to Andersen Corp.

Minnesota-based Andersen Corp., a large manufacturer of windows and doors sold globally, has agreed to acquire Weiland Sliding Doors and Windows Inc., with headquarters in Oceanside. Terms were not disclosed by the privately held companies.

Andersen Corp. officials said the company intends to continue Weiland production and operations in the San Diego region, keeping current management in place.

“This acquisition accelerates our entry into this important category and closely aligns with the expansion of our architectural products,” said Andersen Corp. Chairman, President and CEO Jay Lund, in a statement.

Weiland’s offerings include folding door products, pivot doors and European-style tilt-and-turn windows. The company has been in business nearly 30 years.

Andersen, founded in 1903, is headquartered in Bayport, Minn., and employs 9,000 at 39 locations in the U.S. and Canada.
