The U.S. Air Force recently said it awarded Mission Valley-based Ahntech Inc. a $12.4 million deal to provide services at several Air Force training ranges.

The new deal covers the 2014 calendar year and calls for work at nine Air Combat Command ranges in Georgia, Idaho, New Mexico, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, South Dakota and Texas. Under the deal, Ahntech will provide services to support range operations. Ahntech will also maintain targets, roads, grounds and to some extent, facilities.

Ahntech was incorporated in 1984 by Sam Ahn. The company is currently advertising work in Florida, New Mexico, Texas and Germany.

The newly awarded deal is technically a modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract.
