Rancho Bernardo-based ImageWare Systems Inc., which offers biometric identification software, recently reported earnings for its third quarter. Net income was $326,000 on revenue of $2.5 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30. That compares with a net loss of $2.7 million on revenue of $938,000 during the year-ago quarter.
For the nine months, the company had a net loss of $8.1 million on revenue of $4.4 million. For the first nine months of 2012, the company had a net loss of $10.3 million on revenue of $3.0 million.
ImageWare (OTCQB: IWSY) offers identification products that let governments manage and issue secure credentials, including national identification cards, passports and driver’s licenses. It also offers digital booking products for law enforcement.
