Ralphs Grocery Co. has opened the 23rd San Diego County location of its Ralphs supermarket in Point Loma.
The 29,000-square-foot store is at 1666 Rosecrans St. and employs 70 people, according to a statement from Los Angeles-based Ralphs. The store operates 24 hours and has a Starbucks mini café, open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
There is a fully-staffed meat department, along with a bakery and floral department. There is also a fuel center, located across the street at 1704 Rosecrans St., with four gas pumping stations and convenience items such as ice, soft drinks, candy and automotive products.
Ralphs spokesman Terry O’Neil said the Point Loma store is the company’s first in San Diego County to feature an in-store Starbucks, and the first Ralphs in San Diego to have a full-service fuel center.
Ralphs is a subsidiary of Cincinnati-based Kroger Co. and also operates 11 Food 4 Less stores in San Diego County.
