Nirvanix, a San Diego-based provider of enterprise-class cloud storage services, says it has appointed Debra Chrapaty as its CEO, effective in April.

Dru Borden, who had been serving as CEO, will remain part of the company leadership as senior vice president of planning and development. He will keep his board position. Scott Genereux was previously CEO prior to taking a senior vice president’s job at Oracle.

Chrapaty comes to Nirvanix from Zynga.

Nirvanix is backed by Khosla Ventures, Intel Capital, Mission Ventures, Valhalla Partners and Windward Ventures.
