Operators have completed a $2 million renovation of the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina at Harbor Island.
A statement from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc., which operates the 1,053-room property, said all 348 guest rooms in the hotel’s Bay Tower were updated with elements including new carpeting, chairs, window treatments, bath fixtures and furniture re-upholstery. Hallway carpeting, lighting and wall covers throughout the Bay Tower were also redone during the project, which began in November.
The hotel’s Bay Tower Lounge Patio was also revitalized to better highlight waterfront views, and a Starbucks coffee kiosk was added adjacent to the hotel lobby. The Bay Tower’s fitness center has been doubled in size, the statement said.
Renovations to the Bay Tower’s main dining room are scheduled for later in 2013. The hotel, at 1380 Harbor Island Drive in San Diego, is owned by Maryland-based Host Hotels & Resorts Inc.
