Datron World Communications, the Vista-based maker of military radios that has a side business making small surveillance drones, announced it has a new president and CEO: Kevin Kane.
Art Barter, the previous CEO, will remain chairman of Datron. Barter also owns parent company Transnortad Inc. In addition, he will transition to the role of president and CEO of the Servant Leadership Institute, a Transnortad company.
Barter served as president and CEO of Datron since he bought the business from Titan Corp. in 2004.
Kane, Datron’s new CEO, previously worked as president of the radio communications division of Codan Ltd. in Adelaide, Australia.
