San Diego-based Cubic Corp. announced it was awarded $30 million in contracts with the U.S. Navy for advanced combat ship training.

The Navy placed two $15 million delivery orders with Cubic’s Orlando, Fla.-based. Simulation Systems division to develop instructor-led and facilitated programs to keep ship engineers up-to-date in training.

“We are honored to help the United States Navy get this innovative and critical training capability deployed,” said Bill Rebarick, deputy general manager of Cubic Advanced Learning Solutions, in a statement. “This contract is an evolution of adult learning in a synthetic environment that continues to affirm Cubic’s commitment to leadership in providing first-class training solutions that are highly adaptable to our sailors’ needs in any environment.”
