Fanfest, the San Diego Padres free, one-day promotion of the team in advance of the season, happens Saturday, Feb. 9 at Petco Park.
The team said at the annual event fans will have a chance to meet about two dozen players, alumni, broadcasters and team executives. The date is also the first time fans can purchase mini-packs of tickets.
The six-game package of tickets this year includes one with a single home game against the New York Yankees, which will be here Aug. 2-4.
The packages that start at $99 will also be available online and by phone starting Feb. 9, the team said.
The daylong event begins at 10 a.m., but fans who pre-register on the padres.com website can receive an early access pass enabling them to enter at 9:30 a.m.
A full schedule of the day’s events and participants will be released next week, and can be found at www.padres.com/fanfest.
