DJO Global Inc., the Vista-based maker of orthopedic devices, said one of its subsidiaries, DJO LLC, has completed the acquisition of Exos Corp. for an undisclosed price.
Exos, based in Minnesota, is a medical device company focused on musculoskeletal braces for the treatment of fractures and other injuries requiring stabilization.
DJO LLC has been the exclusive distribution partner for Exos in the United States since October 2011, the company said.
Steve Ingel, president of DJO Global’s Bracing and Supports business unit, said the combination of Exos’ technology and DJO’s distribution network will give the company an edge in the marketplace. “We welcome the entire Exos team to our DJO Global family and look forward to working together with them to launch more products incorporating the Exos technology to more customers in more geographies around the world,” Ingel said.
