ViaSat Gets Contract with Australian MilitarySunday, December 22, 2013
ViaSat Inc. received a contract to provide the Australian military with small tactical radio terminals for military communications, the company said.
The company did not disclose financial details of the contract, nor did is give the number of units to be provided.
Specifically, ViaSat (Nasdaq: VSAT) will provide Small Tactical Terminal KOR-24 radios for data exchange. The military will use them in its tactical data link network monitoring and management systems.
ViaSat is based in Carlsbad and had $1.12 billion in revenue during fiscal 2013, which ended in March.
