Two new restaurants have joined the lineup at The Shops at Hillcrest, an 8,360-square-foot retail center owned and managed by San Diego-based Westcore Properties.
R2 Foods LLC, doing business as Kasi Fresh Fast Indian, has signed a lease for 1,214 square feet. This is the second San Diego location for the Indian-themed casual restaurant, which recently debuted at Bressi Ranch in Carlsbad, according to a Westcore statement.
Westcore senior leasing associate Lauren Suazo said the center has also added Abe Froman’s – Sausage & Beer, offering artisanal sausages and craft beer in a new 2,218-square-foot restaurant and bar.
The Shops at Hillcrest, located at Fifth and Robinson avenues, was purchased by Westcore in 2004 and includes Starbucks, Jamba Juice and Pho Fifth Avenue, a Vietnamese restaurant.
The new businesses signed five-year leases with a total value of $525,000. Kasi was represented in the leasing transactions by Flocke & Avoyer, and Cassidy Turley San Diego represented Abe Froman’s and Westcore, the statement said.
