Downtown Real Estate Concerns Merge to Form Harcourts Office

Thursday, October 11, 2012

Two real estate services firms with downtown San Diego operations, Urban Real Estate Services and Realty Connex, have merged operations to form a new company, Harcourts Pacific Realty, affiliated with the global firm Harcourts USA.

Financial terms were not disclosed. The new operation will offer residential and commercial brokerage and property management services, with plans to open future offices in San Diego’s uptown, East Village and Carmel Valley neighborhoods, according to a statement.

The new company is owned by partners Eric Jones, Suzen Sarko, and Sherman D. and Becky Harmer, and will open with approximately 30 real estate agents. The firm will continue to occupy the partners’ current offices at 620 First Ave. in downtown’s Marina District, and at 1608 India St. in Little Italy.

The firms are currently on track to complete more than $65 million in transactions in 2012, the statement said.

Harcourts Pacific Realty will maintain Urban Real Estate Services’ close affiliation with Urban Housing Partners, led by Sherman Harmer, which has developed several large local urban master plans, high-density rental housing, retail and mixed-use projects.

Harcourts USA, with headquarters in Aliso Viejo, is a 125-year-old real estate company with 780 offices in 10 countries.
