Congatec, a German manufacturer of embedded computer products that maintains its North American headquarters in San Diego, said its fiscal third quarter sales rose to $21 million, up 43 percent over the same quarter in 2011.
For the nine months through Sept. 30, the company posted sales of $47.7 million, compared with $58.5 million for the like period of last year.
In the current year, Congatec said its worldwide employment increased by 11 people, bringing its global employment to 135.
The company said in the eight years it’s operated, it has become the No. 2 global provider of computer-on-modules.
For the fourth quarter Congatec said it expects a slight drop in sales partly because of economic reasons and partly because its customers are trying to reduce their inventories. The firm’s order book is stable and in 2013, it expects similar results as in 2012, the company said.
