The median price of a single family home last month was $400,000, up 13 percent from October 2011, according to the San Diego Association of Realtors.
The median on condominiums and townhomes sold last month increased 19 percent to $246,000, the Realtors association said.
Sales of existing detached homes increased 10 percent in October from September, to 2,071. The sales of condos and townhomes increased 6 percent over the same month to 882.
Compared to October 2011, sales of detached single family existing homes were up 34 percent. For condos, sales grew by 18 percent over the full year.
