Active Network, the San Diego provider of online event registration services, reported a third quarter net loss of $6 million, compared with a net loss of $1.4 million in the like quarter of 2011.
Revenue for the quarter increased 22 percent to $109 million.
CEO Matt Landa said Active delivered strong third quarter results and made progress expanding its customer base.
For the nine months, Active reported a net loss of $28.7 million, compared with a net loss of $18.6 million for the like period last year.
Revenue for the nine months was $325 million, compared with $261 million for the like period last year.
For the full year of 2012, Active said it expects its total revenue to finish in a range of $418 million to $422 million, and its net loss will come in between $18 million and $13 million.
In 2013, Active Network forecast total revenue will be in a range of $470 million to $480 million, and its full year net loss to be $38 million to $31 million.
Shares of the company, traded under ACTV on the New York Stock Exchange, gained 31 cents Nov. 6 to close at $5.92. Its 52 week range was $5.02 to $17.74.
