Hospital to Offer Pediatric Heart TransplantsTuesday, May 22, 2012
Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego says that it expects to conduct its first pediatric heart transplant before the year is over.
The news follows the hiring of its first heart transplant surgeon, Dr. Eric J. Devaney. Rady-Children’s announced the hiring on May 17.
Devaney comes to Rady Children’s from the University of Michigan, where he was with the C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.
Rady-Children’s says it offers the largest and most comprehensive pediatric heart program in San Diego, Imperial and Orange counties.
