Electric car owners can now recharge their car batteries at San Diego Community College District’s three campuses, the district announced March 6.
Ecotality, a Bay Area business that manages electric charging stations in San Diego, is joining with the district’s three colleges, City College, Mesa College and Miramar College, to provide 16 EV stations.
Drivers can schedule a recharge at the stations by logging into the Blink Network at blinknetwork.com.
Funding for the stations came partially from $1.55 billion raised from Propositions S and N construction bond program that is paying for a variety of renovations and new infrastructure projects at the colleges, the district said.
