San Diego County Credit Union, the area’s largest credit union with $5.4 billion in assets, said recently that it will continue as title sponsor of the Walk MS fundraiser.

SDCCU has supported the event for the past 14 years and served as title sponsor since 2002.

Walk MS this year features two separate walks, one on Sunday, April 22 at Legoland California in Carlsbad, and one on Saturday, April 28 at NTC Park at Liberty Station in Point Loma. There is no cost to participate, but walkers are encouraged to solicit sponsors to raise funds.

Registration information can be viewed at MSWalk.com.

National MS Society officials said they expect the events to draw about 3,500 walkers each and collectively raise about $750,000 for multiple sclerosis research and programs and services for people with MS, a chronic disabling neurological disease of the central nervous system with no known cure or prevention.

Walk MS events are known for drawing a large number of teams representing businesses, neighborhoods, clubs, community groups, churches, family members and friends of those with MS.
