To induce drivers to use the county’s only toll road — state Route 125 from Lemon Grove to Otay Mesa — the San Diego Association of Governments is giving folks a free pass on Saturday, June 30 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the agency said.
Starting later that day, Sandag is putting in place new toll rates that reduce the old rate by about 40 percent. The new prices range from 50 cents to $2.75 depending on the distance traveled and whether drivers are enrolled in the FasTrak system.
Also on June 30, the agency is hosting a festival that includes live music, classic car show, prize drawings, and other entertainment.
