CommNexus, the San Diego technology nonprofit, is headed into 2012 with a new slate of directors and officers.
The new directors are Don Abbey of CareFusion Corp.; George Cacioppo of Intuit Inc.; Tim Caulfield of American Internet Services; Kate Collier of Bank of America; Michael Fuller of Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP; Tim Holl of Ernst & Young; David Marino of Hughes Marino Inc.; David Martin of Legend 3D Inc.; Ron Nersesian of Agilent Technologies; Arto Nummela of Nokia; and Naresh Soni of InterDigital Inc.
CommNexus’ 2012 officers are John Major of Broadcom Corp., chairman; Tami Erwin of Verizon Wireless, vice chairwoman; Steve Embry of PwC, treasurer; Fred Muto of Cooley LLP, secretary; and retired U.S. Navy Vice Admiral Walter Davis, vice president of organizational development.
Rory Moore is the organization’s CEO.
CommNexus, formerly known as the San Diego Telecom Council, runs a number of programs to further the technology industry. Its services include the EvoNexus business incubator in the University Towne Center area, which helps young technology companies get on their feet.
