The region was otherwise conspicuous by its absence in most of the other categories, including Best Chef and Best Restaurant. The winners will be announced later this year … Finally, this bit of monkey business. Green Bay Packers quarterback and off-season Del Mar resident Aaron Rodgers is trying to line up a hosting gig on the “Saturday Night Live” show. Rodgers, named the NFL’s MVP earlier this month, has been joking around on his weekly Milwaukee radio show about appearing on the high-profile TV show, and apparently representatives from SNL have contacted him about just such a possibility. Stay tuned, as they say, in the broadcasting business … Till next week.
