Partnership Forms to Develop Imaging System
Wednesday, February 15, 2012Brooks Life Science Systems said Feb. 7 that it has partnered with The Scripps Research Institute to jointly complete development of a microplate imaging system, used to evaluate the quality of compounds during drug discovery. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Brooks has a license to complete the development of the microplate imaging system created by Scripps Research in Jupiter, Fla. Brooks may go on to manufacture and commercialize the tool.
Brooks Life Sciences is a subsidiary of Chelmsford, Mass.-based Brooks Automation Inc., which trades on the Nasdaq as BRKS. Brooks employs 90 people in Poway.
