Kratos Lands Contract Extension From Air Force

Wednesday, February 1, 2012

Last year’s purchase of Integral Systems is bearing fruit for Kratos Defense & Security Solutions Inc.

Kratos reported on Jan. 30 that the U.S. Air Force awarded it a $15.69 million extension to its Command and Control System-Consolidated contract, covering satellites for the 50th Space Wing. The contract extension will cover system sustainment, hardware maintenance, software maintenance and operations support through 2012.

San Diego-based Kratos, which says it has primarily an engineering and technical oriented workforce of approximately 4,000, completed its acquisition of Maryland-based Integral Systems in July.

Company stock trades on Nasdaq as KTOS.
