InfoSonics Beefs Up Smartphone Selection

InfoSonics Corp., a locally based wireless technology company, recently announced the launch of the verykool s735 smartphone.

According to a news release, the touchscreen phone runs on the Android operating system and features a 3.2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capability, expandable T-flash memory up to 32 gigabytes and proximity and gravity sensors.

“Only 10.8mm thick, the s735 runs the Android 2.3.6 operating system and is powered by a 1 gigahertz processor to deliver an excellent user experience, especially with demanding applications such as games and video conferencing,” Joseph Ram, InfoSonics president and CEO, said in a news release. “The s735 is part of our expanding portfolio of smartphones which we plan to augment in the next couple of months.”

The phone is currently available for purchase.

InfoSonics designs and manufactures wireless phones and accessories for distribution in Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific.

Shares of the company, traded on Nasdaq under IFON, closed Dec. 4 at 72 cents, and have ranged from 50 cents to $1.78 over the past 52 weeks.
