The Port of San Diego has rescheduled a workshop, previously slated for Aug. 30, to discuss the latest conceptual design for the Lane Field hotel development project. The meeting has been changed to Sept. 11, to allow for a larger audience and ensure maximum public input, according to a port district statement.
The workshop will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the port’s administration building training room, at 3165 Pacific Highway. The agenda includes a presentation by developers and breakout sessions for discussion.
The dual-hotel project is slated for the northern portion of the former Lane Field ballpark site at Pacific Highway and West Broadway in downtown San Diego, and is being developed by LPP Lane Field LLC. The workshop is the latest in a series, and port officials are expecting to issue final project approvals in early 2013.
