Spirit Airlines will offer new daily nonstop flights from San Diego International Airport to Los Cabos, Mexico, starting Nov. 8, giving local travelers access to destinations including Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo.

A statement from the Florida-based carrier and airport officials said Spirit Flight 107 will depart daily from San Diego at 10:10 a.m., arriving at Los Cabos at 1:15 p.m.; and Flight 108 will depart daily from Los Cabos at 2:15 p.m., arriving in San Diego at 3:15 p.m.

“There is a strong affinity between San Diego and Mexico, and this new service will strengthen the relationships of the two countries,” said Thella F. Bowens, president and CEO of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, in the statement.

Scheduling of the new flights is subject to Mexican government approval.
