Retailer Target Corp. will hold a job fair Aug. 17 and 18, to fill an expected 200 jobs at its new Escondido store scheduled to open in October.

A company statement said the job fair will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at California Center for the Arts, Escondido, at 340 N. Escondido Blvd. The company is also accepting applications on its website, target.com/careers.

During the job fair, store leaders will review applications, conduct interviews and discuss the retailer’s team-oriented culture, the statement said.

Target is opening a three-story, 150,000-square-foot store in a former Robinsons-May location at Westfield North County. The mall off Via Rancho Parkway at Interstate 15 is in the midst of a $56 million renovation.
