California Bank & Trust launched a business financing program aimed at the state’s minority- and women-owned businesses April 12 at the Latina Style Business series in Los Angeles, the San Diego-based bank announced.

The program, called TEAM, for tools, education, access and mentoring, is being offered in affiliation with Latina Style Inc. and the Anna Maria Foundation.

The bank, which is a subsidiary of Zions Bancorporation and has about $10 billion in assets, said TEAM is a comprehensive initiative designed to address the issues faced by many minority- and women-owned businesses, especially access to financing.

“Our goal is to show them what they need to qualify and obtain the financing required to help their business succeed,” said Betty Rengifo Uribe, CB&T’s executive vice president.
