Kratos Pays $17.5M for Cybersecurity Specialist

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions Inc. said on Nov. 15 that it acquired a company that specializes in cybersecurity for $17.5 million in cash.

The acquired company, SecureInfo Corp., is located in the Washington, D.C., suburb of Reston, Va. The sellers may receive an additional $2 million if the company attains certain goals in the future.

SecureInfo has both military and civilian customers. In 2011, the company is expected to generate $2.5 million in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, according to Kratos. Kratos said its cybersecurity business generates more than $100 million in revenue per year.
