Forever 21 Opens Expanded, Remodeled El Cajon Store

Los Angeles-based clothing retailer Forever 21 is opening its expanded and remodeled store Nov. 19 at Westfield Group’s Westfield Parkway shopping center in El Cajon. The store, selling value-priced fashions for young women and men, has been expanded to 20,000 square feet, according to a Nov. 15 statement from the retailer.

Forever 21 executive vice president Larry Meyer said the El Cajon store has been remodeled with a new layout and expanded clothing concepts “to ensure a better shopping environment.” The company operates eight stores in San Diego County.

Traditionally an operator of small stores in enclosed malls, the retailer in the past two years has been opening larger-format locations with a wider array of clothing and accessories.

For instance, Forever 21 also has a store with more than 62,000 square feet set to open by year’s end at Simon Property Group’s Fashion Valley mall in Mission Valley, which will replace a smaller store at that center.
