Rubio’s Restaurants Inc., which built a menu around its signature fish tacos, said Nov. 7 that its third-quarter net income amounted to $732,000 on revenue of $44 million.
That compares to net income of $600,000 on revenue of $38.7 million in the same period one year ago.
Rubio’s said the $44 million marked the second consecutive quarter of record revenue since the company went public in 1999.
Comparable-store sales increased 7.1 percent, the company said.
The company trades on the Nasdaq under the symbol RUBO. Shares were at $9.95 late in the day Nov. 8, down 28 cents from the previous day’s close.
