Aplus.Net, With New Leadership, Prepares for Move

Aplus.Net, a local Web hosting company that was acquired by a New York-based private equity fund last month, is making preparations to move its headquarters to Kansas in February.

In addition, the company said Gabriel Murphy, a co-investor with the acquiring equity firm, Catalyst Investors, was named chief executive officer, and Ryan Elledge was named chief operations officer.

The company announced a series of other management changes intended to bring “a more dynamic leadership team to Aplus.Net as it enters a new growth stage,” the company said.

A call to the company to determine whether its employees would be offered jobs in Kansas wasn’t returned.

Aplus.Net was founded by Ivan and Lilian Vachovsky in 1995, and had 300 employees and offices in Sacramento, Phoenix, Sofia, Bulgaria, and Manila, the Philippines.

The company provides a range of services, including Web hosting, design, dedicated servers, online marketing, e-commerce and domain registration. It has about 200,000 customers, and in 2005 revealed annual revenue of $20 million.
