When Aeromexico resumes its nonstop, twice weekly route from San Diego to Mexico City on July 7, it will become one of four airlines serving Lindbergh Field with international flights.
The flights will depart on Thursdays and Sundays.
Aeromexico’s direct route to Mexico City was halted in 2000. It was resumed briefly in 2001 and discontinued again.
Aeromexico also has flights to Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallerta and Loreto, Mexico.
Alaska Airlines and America West both offer nonstop service to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and to Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallerta. WestJet Airlines began seasonal, nonstop service to Calgary, Alberta, Canada last week.
